A renowned and award-winning Banking group based in the City of London has an excellent opportunity for an Internal Audit Manager with Credit Risk experience to join a well-established and growing team.
This is a hybrid role working 2 days per week in the City of London and 3 days / week homeworking.
The Internal Audit Manager will drive delivery of the audit plan and related activities to credit risk management, including IRB, in a timely manner to best practice standards, producing value-adding and high-quality internal audit services to help the organisation achieve its objectives.
Your responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality end-to-end audit activities within Group Internal Audit (GIA).
- Lead and participate in a range of credit risk audit, including audit planning, execution, issue closure and audit reporting. Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.
- Understand and have experience of anticipating and responding to the existing and emerging risks and issues within areas of credit regulatory framework applicable to Banks and FCA IFPRU and other regulated entities, including within the EU under the CRR/CRD IV.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Credit Risk.
- Stay informed of current economic developments, emerging credit risk, applicable regulations, business knowledge, risk processes, and controls relevant to the Credit Risk Management.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience of working in internal audit roles, preferably with a reputable banking/financial institution, or top tier assurance experience.
- Experience of Internal audit / enterprise credit risk management / credit origination, in-life portfolio management experience with subject matter knowledge of the end-to-end credit risk management processes ,ideally, for a retail (Motor, Premium), Commercial (Asset and Invoice Financing and Property portfolios.
- Understanding of Basel Capital Framework incl. Credit Rating Model (PD/LGD) and Process.
- Have a broad understanding of the Laws and Regulations impacting the credit business.
- Knowledge of the banking/financial services industry, including credit risk and UK banking regulations.
Salary & benefits
Basic salary: £80,000 - £85,000
Bonus: 25%
